Newfoundland and Labrador DTC alcohol remittance example

- What is included
- The fixture uses a Newfoundland and Labrador destination, an individual consumer, wine at 12.5% ABV in a 750 mL bottle, and a basic-price basis. The production engine applies the active NLC wine markup, HST-on-markup, and bottle container deposit rules, and checks the order against the NLC social reference price floor and the sourced list of communities where DTC alcohol delivery is prohibited.
- The output is a component subtotal. It is not a complete provincial remittance or proof of an accepted NLC filing.
- Filing, authorization, and a prohibited delivery area
- NLC authorization is required before selling to Newfoundland and Labrador consumers. Authorization holders file quarterly financial reports — including a NIL report in a quarter with no sales — covering Q1 Jan 1–Mar 31 (due Apr 20), Q2 Apr 1–Jun 30 (due Jul 20), Q3 Jul 1–Sep 30 (due Oct 20), and Q4 Oct 1–Dec 31 (due Jan 20).
- The reviewed public NLC list names two Ontario producers for interprovincial DTC and one local Newfoundland and Labrador producer. The local entry is not treated as evidence for an interprovincial lane.
- One Newfoundland and Labrador community, Natuashish, is a sourced prohibited delivery area for DTC beverage alcohol. The engine checks every order destination against that list before it calculates a result.
- What remains outside this example
- Submission routing, acceptance by NLC, payment, and any adjustment workflow remain user review items. NLC workbook generation remains unavailable: the public NLC template exposes a limited, defective set of sales rows and period selectors, so workbook generation and filing submission stay blocked until a corrected artifact exists. Compliance Desk can preserve evidence and current filing-plan facts, but final filing, payment, correction, and authority communication remain the user’s responsibility.
